UUMA discernment groups offer apsirants and candidates a chance to explore identity, aurhority and the practice of ministry in an intentional small group setting. This group will meet monthly (Sept-June) for guided conversation on topics related to how progressive religious leaders bring philosophy and anthropological studies into the work of UU ministry. In order to build robust collegial conversations, this progrqam is limited to X# of participants who will work with facilitators (Darcy and Lucas) to
1. consider the role of history and hope in public theology
2. explore the pragmatic challenges of intellectual discourse in collegial community and various ministry contexts
3. share resources and personal experience as formation work at the many stages of vocation throughout a career
All discernment groups ask for a high level commitment to participation, so please consider your schedule and circumstances.
