MFN Formation Conversation: Intern Supervisors Gathering - It's About Time!
Thursday, December 4, 2025
7:00-8:30pm ET/6-7:30pm CT/5-6:30pm MT/4-5:30pm PT
Starr King School for the Ministry and the Ministerial Formation Network invite past and future internship supervisors, mentors and teachers to a curious conversation about time and ministry. This program is open for folks in full fellowship and UUMA members.* Perhaps you have questions regarding the (newish) language about the 1000 hour MFC internship standard? Or you're having difficulty with boundaries and expectations in a congregational culture? Or something is stirring that might feel like generational shifts in the expectations of ministers and ministry? The Rev. Elaine Gehrmann has served as co-minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Monterey Peninsula in Carmel, CA for the past 10 years. She is currently part of the Adjunct Faculty at Starr King School for the Ministry, leading programs for congregational interns and students in parish based field work. She will guide our program exploring topics of:
- Supervisor Support
- Cross-cultural/generational mentoring
- Navigating differences, and
- Changing views of time management
*Folks who are not UU and supervising in community ministry settings may register directly by emailing Favreault@UUMA.org
