UUA Transitions Office Listening Session

October 17th from 12-2pm ET / 11-1pm CT / 10am-12pm MT / 9-11am PT

To say the least, these are dynamic times for the ministry.  Patterns and practices that have held us in good stead over time are shifting and even our understandings of formerly clear categories are changing.  The leadership of the UUA and UUMA have been hearing from folx about these changes with a specific focus on shifts in settlement and transitions. In response we are holding a listening session on October 17th from 12-2pm ET / 11-1pm CT / 10am-12pm MT / 9-11am PT in the hope that we can hear more.

The Transitions Team of the UUA shapes the search process based on feedback from ministers and congregations who have recently been in search. With this listening session, we hope to cast a wider net to any UUMA members who may have feedback or reflection to share about the search process and the categories of ministry included within it.

We know that all of us, at every level of our shared ministry, need to set some courageous strategy moving forward.  In order to do that, it’s always good to know just where we are.  To that end, this listening session is an effort to collect data beyond the anecdotes we typically receive.  We’ll be there to listen and, when appropriate, offer clarification in response to your questions.

This session will be attended and heard by the members of the UUA transitions team and supported by additional UUA and UUMA staff.

Please join us for this session and share your sense of how we can adapt together with courage and strategy.
