MFN Formation Conversation: Rites of Passage - Making Meaning and Leading with Love - (part 2)
Monday, March 24, 2025
4-5:30pm ET/3-4:30pm CT/2-3:30pm MT/1-2:30 PT
The Ministerial Formation Network is offering a two part series to share theological reflection, practice tips and considerations and leadership responsibilities of clergy in formation. Come to one - or both - sessions to explore:
- what do baptism and child dedications mean in Unitarian Universalism?
- are there legal and ethical issues in performing weddings to consider?
- who to turn to for resources and responsibilities with private and publc memorials and funerals?
Not to mention all the other life ages and stages of ministering through the seasons of life...
The Rev. Dr. Susan Ritchie, will facilitate these recorded conversations with collaborations from retired clergy from UURMPA. While the content of these two sessions is not all that a person will need to develop competency in these important rituals, this series will offer a chance to begin or deepen the preparation of a personal theology and religious philosopy of leadership for rites of passage.
Register for both the sessions on March 3 and March 24 separately to receive reminders and updates as well as the recordings of the programs.
Rev. Dr. Ritchie serves on the Faculty of the Methodist Theological School in Ohio and directs the Unitarian Universalist House of Studies there.
