Metro New York Chapter Winter Retreat

Our chapter is only asking you to cover the cost of your room and food if you have professional fees available.  The cost is $300 per person for a double occupancy sleeping room and $400 for a single occupancy room.  The cost is $150 if you plan on attending the event as a commuter. If you do not have professional expenses to cover this retreat, the chapter can cover your expenses.  Please alert us when filling out the registration form.

This year’s Winter Retreat will be held at Stony Point Conference Center in Stony Point, NY.  Join us as we renew our spirits and envision "The Future of Ministry," a theme based on your survey feedback. We invite your participation in helping us create a time of structured and open programming, collegial conversation, fun, and relaxation. We will reflect on current trends in ministry, particularly as they show up for us in Metro New York in our various congregational and community contexts. We will share practice and skills that help us move through loss towards trnsformation and growth. What new possibilities for ministry are emerging? How might we - together, as colleagues - embody the interdependent, collaborative ministry that our world so desperately needs in these times? 

Our retreat will also include open time for connection and relaxation: worship, games, food, nature walks, and more. Join us in creating this retreat together! Do you have expertise to share that might fit with our structured programming theme? Would you like to lead a worship service or spiritual practice, or a fun activity during relaxation time?
