Central Midwest Chapter Spring Online Gathering and Business Meeting

Gathering on Zoom, the program will include:

• Deep Check-in
• Breakout Rooms on fun and special topics

New this year:  For every member who attends, we will share $1 with the Living Tradition Fund. For all who wear a fun, witty, or awesome t-shirt to the meeting we will donate $2 person. You get to vote on ‘winners’ at the meeting and an additional $5 per winner will be donated from our treasury to send a donation to the Living Tradition Fund. Let’s see your fun t-shirts!

Melissa Carvill Ziemer met with officers in the UUMA chapters and reported that as of this date there are no plans for an on-site General Assembly in 2024. If General Assembly is all virtual in 2024, it is likely that Ministry Days (MD) will be as well as the UUMA relies on our association with the UUA for many cost saving measures when we gather.  Though it is possible things will change, if GA and MD are virtual in 2024, ought the UUMA consider other ways of creating in-person gatherings? Melissa shared a couple of ideas the UUMA is considering and invited feedback. 

As a chapter, we will discuss those possibilities at our May 4th meeting. We will ask you if an in-person Spring 2024 gathering of our UUMA Central Midwest Chapter might be something you want to create, if there is not an in-person Ministry Days. We used to do this but dropped it during Covid. With less opportunities to see one another in person in 2024, we may want to consider an alternative colleague gathering.
